The texture of trees #2
I love that out of the 3.04 trillion trees on earth (yes, someone counted them!) not one of them is without twists, curves or meandering lines.
Even trees that may appear straight are subtly off kilter, which of course is what gives wood crafted items their unique beauty.
This pear wood scoop pays homage to the eternally twisted trees, with a carved swirling pattern running the length and circumference of the handle. It's a tactile little scoop that twiddles ever so nicely in the hand.
Includes a golden painted collar, because, well, it deserves it.
Number two in the Texture of Trees series.
A one off. Carved by axe and knife, and using a foot operated woodturning lathe.
